Celebrity Cruises Breaks Barriers: Celebrity Edge Sets Sail With The First All-Female Bridge and Officer Team
Celebrity Cruises is celebrating International Women’s Day this year with a first-of-its-kind sailing. On March 8th, 2020 Celebrity Edge set sail with the first entirely female bridge and officer team. This crew is made up of 25 women and represents 17 different countries. Captain Kate McCue has expressed how proud of her team as well as how honored she is to be part of the historic sailing that is to come. Onboard there will be female change makers, trail blazers in their respective fields including artists, designers and sports professionals among other inspiring women hosting various events, on top of the countless activities offered on the ship.
