Carnival is the Caribbean’s largest cruise operator, carrying millions of passengers to dozens of destinations in the region, the vast majority of which were unaffected by the storms.
As of September 14, we are back to our regular cruise rotation, with very limited impact to our upcoming itineraries. Each and every day our ships are carrying some 60,000 guests sailing to beautiful ports of call within The Bahamas and Caribbean region. Proving that Carnival employees will do just about anything for a good cause, Regional Vice President – Trade Sales Eastern US and Caribbean Kirk Neal and Business Development Directors Kathy Donnelly, Grace Ambrosia and Christine Schultz were among the thousands of individuals who braved the icy waters of Chesapeake Bay as part of the annual Polar Bear Plunge benefiting Maryland Special Olympics.   Several of Carnival’s travel agent partners joined in the day of cold weather fun.

Carnival Cruise Line’s recently revamped cruise search on carnival.com has received a Digiday Signal Award in the Best Sales Automation Tools & Platform Category. The redesign, named “Fun Voyage,” was completed by the Miami–based office of SapientNitro, a division of Publicis.Sapient.
The Digiday Signal Awards, now in their second year, recognize technology platforms that bring efficiency, effectiveness and creativity to the media and marketing processes of brands, agencies and publishers. The winners will be recognized at the Digiday Awards gala Nov. 17, in New York City.

Carnival Cruise Line hosted its first-ever Summertime Beer-B-Que featuring mouth-watering barbecue from the new Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse – a new seagoing eatery developed by Carnival and Food Network star Guy Fieri – and samples of craft beers from top breweries from across the country.

A cruise ship towed to San Diego after catching fire in November is in good enough shape to journey to San Francisco for repairs.
