Carnival Cruise Line and the Canaveral Port Authority hosted a special event earlier today to celebrate the arrival of the Space Coast’s newest ship, the 130,000-ton Carnival Magic, and mark the official grand opening of the ship’s new Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse designed by Food Network star Guy Fieri.

Cruise official says everyone’s making best of it
(AP:SAN DIEGO) An official aboard the stricken cruise ship off California’s coast says passengers and crew are all safe and making the best of it. Cruise Director John Heald says the thousands of guests on the Carnival Splendor “have risen to the obvious challenges and difficult conditions onboard.”
