Carnival Elation is in the final stages of a multi-million-dollar makeover that includes the addition of an expansive new WaterWorks park, 38 new cabins, 98 balconies to existing staterooms, and a variety exciting food and beverage concepts.
Following the extensive renovation, Carnival Elation will resume its year-round schedule of four- to eight-day cruises from Jacksonville, Fla., Oct. 7.  The ship’s new features include:

Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, the 133,500-ton Carnival Horizon, will be the first in the fleet to feature Dr. Seuss WaterWorks, a vibrant water park inspired by the whimsical world and words of the legendary children’s author.  The 3,934-passenger vessel is set to debut in Europe April 2, 2018.
The announcement was made by Carnival President Christine Duffy and Dr. Seuss Enterprises President Susan Brandt at Cruise3Sixty, an annual gathering of travel agents held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held aboard Carnival Glory to officially mark the grand opening of an expansive WaterWorks park featuring the new AquaTunnel slide, as well as the line’s signature Twister slide, which were added during a recent renovation.  Located on Deck 12, WaterWorks also features a 75-gallon PowerDrencher tipping bucket and kiddie area with dual mini-racing slides and a variety of water toys, promising lots of splash-tastic fun.

Today, Carnival Cruise Line, along with community dignitaries and local families, celebrated the opening of Splash Island at Atlanta’s historic Adams Park. The interactive red, white and blue-colored splash pad, funded in part by Carnival and inspired by Carnival WaterWorks, the cruise line’s onboard water experience, is the latest addition to the park’s pool area.
