SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (September 22, 2011) — Today cruise passenger Steve Eaton completed the world’s first-ever marathon at sea aboard Princess Cruises’ ship Grand Princess with a time of 5 hours, 16 minutes and 45 seconds. (January 31, 2012) — Princess Cruises is looking for 1,000 passenger-submitted cruise vacation photos to permanently showcase aboard its new Royal Princess when the ship debuts in spring 2013. North Carolina resident and first-time cruiser Carina Alejandro became the two millionth passenger to sail from the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal when she arrived for her four-day cruise aboard the Carnival Elation yesterday.
Officials from JAXPORT and Carnival Elation Captain Gaetano Gigliotti were on hand to present Alejandro with a number of gifts, including a commemorative plaque.
During her Carnival Elation cruise to the Bahamas, Alejandro, her young son and fiancé are receiving VIP treatment with a number of on-board courtesies. The cruise is also serving as a special occasion as her boss …

Cruise ship passenger evacuated due to medical emergency
A 71-year-old male passenger aboard of cruise ship was medically evacuated early Monday about a mile off Point Loma, authorities said. The U.S. Coast Guard received a call about a passenger aboard the Mariner of the Sea in need of medical assistance about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the federal maritime agency.
